Priscille At BreyerFest
Breyer Animal Creations, a division of Reeves International, Inc., has entered into a license to launch Breyer's Elvis Presley® Collection of the horses of Graceland. The new collectible will be showcased at BreyerFest which takes place July 23-25, 2010 in Lexington, KY at the Kentucky Horse Park along with a special appearance by Priscilla Presley. 2010 is the 21st year for the annual model horse collector’s festival and horse fair which features award-winning equine entertainment, Breyer-inspired crafts and activities, and fun for the whole family.
The Breyer Elvis Presley Collection is a tribute to Elvis and Priscilla Presley's favorite horses, past and present, and the collection will be launched at BreyerFest to commemorate the 75th birthday anniversary of the King of Rock 'n' Roll. The collection will launch with a collectible Traditional® Series portrait model of Elvis' registered American Quarter Horse Rising Sun.
Priscilla Presley will join in the celebration on July 23-24 to share her love of horses and support of equine welfare. Of the four horses currently living at Graceland®, Max, Tucker and Bandit were adopted after being rescued. The fourth, Candy was a gift. Priscilla will sign models of Rising Sun at BreyerFest.
"Elvis enjoyed horses and loved having them at Graceland," said Priscilla Presley. "I'm happy to share this part of his legacy with the equestrian world in this anniversary year and to add my voice to those who support equine welfare."
BreyerFest® will also launch the opening of the Elvis Presley Graceland Stables Exhibit at the International Museum of the Horse at the Kentucky Horse Park. The exhibit, borrowed from the vaults at Graceland, will include Elvis' saddles and bridles, video footage of the family riding, and other historic archival materials on loan from the stables at Graceland. The exhibit will open BreyerFest weekend and remain on display through the end of the year.
