NEW HISTORIC AND GROUNDBREAKING ELVIS PRESLEY SONG “YOU GIVE ME FEVER” WITH RAP VOCALS IS RELEASED

DIGITAL DOWNLOAD ON ITUNES FROM AUG. 4 AND CD IN THE STORES FROM AUG. 16

London, August 1st, 2010

As the undisputed King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Elvis Presley remains one of the most iconic forces in music and popular culture and is today on the verge of another career milestone. 33 years after his premature departure the new Elvis’ song You Give Me Fever is released as commercial single.

Based on Presley’s classic Fever, the new song features the original voice of the King in a whole new context, with new rap vocals, new female vocals and an ultra-contemporary arrangement. You Give Me Fever is produced and co-written by Agostino Carollo Spankox, who in 2008 also produced the third official Presley’s remix released by Sony Music, Baby Let’s Play House, that topped the charts worldwide.

Elvis Presley’s You Give Me Fever is scheduled to be released on Aug. 4, 2010 as exclusive digital download from the Apple iTunes Store and on CD single on Aug.16, 2010, day of the 33rd anniversary of Elvis’ demise. Both the digital download and the CD edition of the single (available as deluxe digipack edition) include three versions of the song: a radio edit, an extended mix and a ringtone version.

This groundbreaking release marks the first time in history that a new, never released before Presley title is released and mass marketed since Elvis’s departure.

“You Give Me Fever continues the revolution and is destined to deliver Elvis to a whole new generation of music fans in a cool and compelling way” said Mark Johnson, Brand Partnership Manager of ELPR, Inc.

“We're always wary of anything that involves altering Elvis' master recordings in any way, but You Give Me Fever is simply mind-blowing. Elvis is a great and constant source of inspiration for the creativity of other artists, and this is an outstanding example of that” said Jim Newton of Elvis Presley’s Fan Club Association.

Agostino Carollo Spankox is a Verona (Italy) based progressive DJ/producer/composer who has produced and remixed tracks for Roxette, Snap! and Vasco Rossi (Italy’s n.1 rockstar) among the others. With JXL and Paul Oakenfold he’s one of the three only official Elvis Presley’s remixers in the world. His work for Elvis includes the third official remix, Baby Let’s Play House, released by Sony Music in 2008, and the first two official Elvis Presley’s remix albums: Re:Versions (2008) and Re:Mixes (2009).
