Breast Cancer Awareness Month @ Elvis Unlimited
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and in honor of that, Elvis Unlimited will be donating proceeds from our first ever Women's issue to Breast Cancer. We do this to encourage women who are battling breast cancer to keep fighting the fight! You are important to us! And to encourage women to be checked regularly.
Breast cancer is the number one cause of cancer death in Hispanic women. It is the second most common cause of cancer death in white, black, Asian/Pacific Islander, and American Indian/Alaska Native women.
•191,410 women were diagnosed with breast cancer.
•40,820 women died from breast cancer
Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an annual international health campaign organized by major breast cancer charities every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention and cure. The campaign also offers information and support to those affected by breast cancer.
As well as providing a platform for breast cancer charities to raise awareness of their work and of the disease, Breast Cancer Awareness Month is also a prime opportunity to remind women to be breast aware for earlier detection. Please ladies, get checked....you're important to us!
So if you know someone battling Breast Cancer or who have fought the fight, pick up this issue and let them know you're proud of them! Breast Cancer has affected many generations of my family. My mother is a breast cancer survivor....and I dedicated this issue to her. I am so proud of her! And I hope this issue makes others aware of all the brave women who battle Breast Cancer everyday!
