Gold and Platinum for 'Elvis' and 'Elvis In Hollywood'

The album "Elvis", released on August 1st 1973, has been certified five times gold. 

The album "Elvis In Hollywood", released on January 1st 1976, has been certified platinum.

In the U.S., the Recording Industry Association of America awards certification based on the number of albums and singles sold through retail and other ancillary markets.
