Movie adaptation - Elvis & Nixon!

Australian actor Eric Bana (known from movies like Hulk and Star Trek) will play Elvis in a movie adaptation of the meeting between Elvis & Nixon. The final negotiations with Danny Houston (known from the movie X-men Origens: Volverine) to play President Richard M. Nixon are commenced.

The plot of the movie is Elvis' meeting with Nixon on December 21, 1970, which Elvis orchestrated by writing a 6-page letter for President Nixon in which he requested being made a Federal Agent at Large for the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs.

Debut director of the movie, Cary Elwes, is known for playing the lead in the first Saw-movie and has now written the screen play for this new movie, set to premiere in 2012.
