Birthplace expansion
Contractors brought in a new marquee Wednesday for the 120-seat theater that is under construction at the Elvis Presley Birthplace and Museum in Tupelo.
Every 30 minutes, the new theater will feature a different film about Elvis Presley's life.
The theater will also be used for entertainment in the evenings.
"One of our goals is that we allow people to come and stay in Tupelo and spend one or two nights as well as seeing all of the existing venues," said museum spokesperson Scott Blake. "This will be a big addition."
Blake said the theater is part of overall improvements at the birthplace.
All of the work is scheduled to be finished in August.
