Sherrill Nielsen, Donnie Sumner and Tim Baty were also known as VOICE when they backed Elvis Presley in the studio and during the kings live shows from 1973 to 1975. The group Nielsen, Sumner and Baty were created with the help of the great J.D. Sumner after Donnie Sumner left The Stamps in 1973. Sherrill Nielsen and Tim Baty left The Statesmen to join the group.
